Trey Burkett
Percussion, Guitar, and Vocals

Born in Odessa, Texas, Trey Burkett has been playing music since he was old enough to make noise. He first discovered his love for music while playing his mother's drums as a small child.

Encouraged by his parents, Trey began studying guitar under Bob Myers at age 10. A few years later, he began playing drums and guitar in his church's youth praise band. Through his junior high and high school years, he was mentored by the late Lee Hight. Trey's love for music has afforded him many opportunities to play with top-notch bands and musicians from every style of music, the most recent being Groovement.

Groovement has offered Trey a very unique and satisfying musical experience. "In most bands, I'm just the guitar player, and that's it. In Groovement, it's this crazy collaboration of everyone working on everything, not just musically, but in every aspect of everything that a band has to do to succeed. It's a lot of hard work, but it's exciting and fun and tremendously rewarding. I feel really fortunate to be a part of it."
